CAMPINAS, Brazil (ICIS)--Brazil's state-run oil company Petrobras said on Tuesday it signed a deal  to buy Vale's nitrogen-based fertilizer plant in Araucaria, Parana.

Petrobras will pay $234m (€177.8m) for the Araucária Nitrogenados plant, which produces 700,000 tonnes/year of urea and 475,000 tonnes/year of ammonia, the company said.

Brazil anti-monopoly agency Cade still has to approve the deal.
