SINGAPORE (ICIS)--US-based Huntsman Performance Products on Wednesday announced its decision to expand the range of chemistries it produces with Zavod Sintanolov, a member of the Russia-headquartered Norchem Group.
Through the cooperation, both companies will investigate the introduction of new products and technologies for fast-growing industrial markets across Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
Zavod Sintanolov and Huntsman Performance Products, a subsidiary of chemicals major Huntsman, together manufacture anionic and amphoteric surfactants that are used primarily in home and personal care products such as detergents, cosmetics, shampoos and shower gels.
At present, all local production arising from the cooperation takes place at Norchem’s Lanitex Optima 7 manufacturing site in the St Petersburg area, Russia. Under the new arrangement the two companies will look to increase production to include Norchem’s Dzerzhinsk facility, Huntsman added.
