NOON SNAPSHOT – Europe Markets Summary

LONDON (ICIS)--Here is Thursday’s midday European oil and chemical market summary from ICIS.

CRUDE: February WTI: $90.95/bbl, down 3 cents/bbl. February BRENT: $110.64/bbl, down 43 cents/bbl
Futures prices remained under pressure as uncertainty remained over whether US lawmakers would reach agreement on the US budget before the 1 January deadline.

NAPHTHA: $970-972/tonne, up $19/tonne
The cargo range increased on firmer crude oil values. January swaps were assessed at $952-954/tonne.

BENZENE: January: $1,525-1,535/tonne, narrowing
The market has been quiet this morning becasue of the Christmas and New Year holidays.

STYRENE: January: $1,705-1,730/tonne, narrowing, February: $1,705/1,745/tonne
Later in the morning bids were heard at $1,715/tonne Rotterdam for January, but no deals were confirmed.
