SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Sinopec Shanghai Petrochemical is running both its naphtha crackers in Jinshan at close to 100% capacity this month, a source familiar with the company said on Thursday.
The company had shut one of two lines at its 700,000 tonne/year naphtha cracker in mid-October for a turnaround. The 300,000 tonne/year line was restarted in early December, he said.
The company’s other 400,000 tonne/year line was running normally during this period, the source said.
Shanghai Petrochemical also operates a 150,000 tonne/year cracker in Jinshan, which is running at full rates this month, he added.
