ExxonMobil reports flaring at Illinois refinery

HOUSTON (ICIS)--ExxonMobil reported flaring during start-up at its Joliet refinery in Illinois, the company said in a filing with federal regulators made available on Thursday.

The flaring at the 238,600 bbl/day refinery occurred during an unplanned shut down on 26 December, according to a filing with the US National Response Center.

The flaring was ongoing, the filing said.
