LONDON (ICIS)--An initial European January propylene contract settlement has been agreed at €1,090/tonne ($1,453/tonne), down by €13/tonne from December reflecting the length in the propylene market, a major non-integrated buyer said on Thursday.

The contract, on a free delivered (FD) northwest Europe (NWE) basis, has been confirmed by a major supplier. A second non-integrated consumer has also confirmed settlement at €1,090/tonne.

A second supplier is required to agree before the January contract price can be established as the European reference price.
