LONDON (ICIS)--Brenntag has acquired Houston-headquartered water treatment chemicals distributor Altivia Corporation in a deal which closed on 31 December, it said on Wednesday.
Germany-headquartered Brenntag did not give financial details of the acquisition but said it did not include Altivia Chemicals LLC which has iron and aluminium polymer coagulant production facilities in Pasadena, Texas.
Brenntag said that Altivia strengthens its regional southwest US distribution organisation and global water additives business. The acquired business is expected to have generated sales of $83m (€63m) in 2012. Brenntag’s sales in 2011 were €8.7bn.
