HOUSTON (ICIS)--Initial December styrene contracts this week have settled flat to an increase of 1.50 cents/lb ($33/tonne,€25/tonne) from November, trade sources said on Thursday.
Producers did not issue any styrene price increases for December, but higher feedstock benzene prices has impacted the market.
December styrene contracts are expected to be fully settled by the end of next week.
Even though December styrene contracts are not finalised, suppliers have already come out with January price increases based on the record-high January benzene contract.
The November styrene contract price is at 78-82 cents/lb.
