SINGAPORE (ICIS)--PTT Phenol plans to shut its 150,000 tonne/year bisphenol-A (BPA) plant at Map Ta Phut, Thailand, for a scheduled maintenance in early February, a company source said on Friday.

The turnaround is for catalyst change and will last approximately 10 days, the source said.

PTT Phenol is currently running its BPA unit at 80% capacity, the source said.

It will run the plant at this rate for the whole month of January, the source added.

PTT Phenol is jointly owned by Thai energy major PTT and PTT Chemical and Aromatics (Thailand).
