HOUSTON (ICIS)--Both inventories and consumption of US jet fuel increased for the week ended 4 January, a government agency’s report showed on Wednesday.
Jet fuel inventories gained 40,000 bbl to 39.6m bbl, according to the US Energy Information Administration (EIA).
Consumption rates were at 1.402m bbl/day, 59,000 bbl/day higher than the previous week’s rate of 1.343m bbl/day, the EIA said.
Meanwhile, jet fuel production fell for the week ended 4 January, losing 22,000 bbl/day to 1.511m bbl/day.
