India’s Payal Group starts 60,000 tonne/yr primary plasticizer unit

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--India’s Payal Group started commercial production at its new 60,000 tonne/year primary plasticizer unit at Dahej on 11 January, a source familiar with the matter said on Friday.

Last year the company started operations at its 30,000 tonne/year secondary plasticizer unit located at the same site in the week ended 28 September.

The 30,000 tonne/year secondary plasticizer unit is currently operating at around 25% capacity, the source said.

The company plans to ramp up production at its news 60,000 tonne/year primary plasticizer unit to full capacity in a time frame of  three to six months, the source added.
