SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Chinese producer China National BlueStar plans to restart its 40,000 tonne/year polyacetal (POM) line in Shanghai in February, a company source said on Monday.
The plant was shut in August for maintenance and has remained idle since, the source added.
No reason was given why it had to kept off line for so long.
Regional producers said the POM market has been poor with low Chinese prices and overcapacity.
POM is an engineering plastic used predominantly in the automobile industry.
