SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Guangxi Lianyi Chemical (Lianyi) is currently running its 75,000 tonne/year caustic soda plant in Guangxi at full capacity after restarting it on 12 January, a company source said on Monday.
The caustic soda plant was taken off line for a week-long maintenance, the source added.
Guangxi Lianyi is offering its 32% liquid membrane caustic soda at yuan (CNY) 2,969/tonne ($477/tonne) on 14 January, according to Chemease, an ICIS service in China.
The prices of caustic soda in Guangxi were stable recently, because demand for alumina has been stable and supply is tightened on the back of the plant’s turnaround, data from Chemease showed.
