HOUSTON (ICIS)--US diammonium phosphate (DAP) exports in November were down by 76% from the same month a year earlier, according to data made available by the US International Trade Commission (ITC) on Monday.

US DAP exports declined to 128,931 tonnes in November from 529,888 tonnes in November 2011.

Exports decreased in November mainly because of a lack of export sales to China or India. There was also reduced demand from Canada.

Canada at 49,525 tonnes was the major destination of US DAP exports, followed by Brazil at 39,935 tonnes and Peru at 27,496 tonnes.

Other destinations included Colombia, the Dominican Republic and Panama.
