The plant capacity is expected to reach 500,000 tonnes/year in May 2014, from 280,000 tonnes/year currently, the source said.
The expanded plant is expected to supply feedstocks to the company’s 150,000 tonne/year bis-phenol A (BPA) plant and its 60,000 tonne/year polycarbonate (PC) plant at the site, the source said.
Financial details of the expansion were not disclosed.
