HOUSTON (ICIS)--Oxea plans to further expand capacities at its site in Bishop near Corpus Christi, ?xml:namespace>
The expansion would add significant volumes, beyond already announced capacity increases for potassium formate and trimethylolpropane (TMP) at Bishop, the company said without disclosing capacity, financial or other details.
Oxea would implement the expansion on the basis of “several innovative continuous processes” it developed, it added.
Potassium formate is used as a component in well-servicing fluids for the extraction of oil and gas and for de-icing, among other applications.
TMP is a widely used building block for polymers, especially in polyesters and polyurethanes, but is also used in areas such as synthetic lubricants.
