LONDON (ICIS)--European epichlorohydrin (ECH) contracts have rolled over in January, mainly because producers were reluctant to reduce prices and that the cost of feedstock propylene has hardly moved, sources said on Tuesday.
January ECH contracts settled at €1,610-1,640/tonne ($2,147-2,187/tonne) free delivered (FD) northwest Europe (NWE).
Demand is very sluggish and there are no supply problems. Offtake from the epoxy resins market is poor and the ECH market is long.
