China’s Qilu Petrochemical to start up new HDPE/LLDPE swing plant

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Qilu Petrochemical plans to start up its new 250,000 tonne/year high density polyethylene (HDPE)/linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) swing plant at Zibo in Shandong province this week, a company source said on Wednesday.

The company completed the construction of this plant on November 2012.

The company also has a 140,000 tonne/year low density polyethylene (LDPE) plant, two 70,000 tonne/year HDPE plants, and a 140,000 tonne/year LLDPE plant.

Qilu Petrochemical is a subsidiary of state-owned oil giant Sinopec.
