Borealis cracker at Stenungsund, Sweden fully back up

LONDON (ICIS)--Austria-based Borealis’s cracker in Stenungsund, Sweden, is fully back up following an outage over the Christmas holiday period, a company source said on Wednesday.

“All is back in service,” said the source.

Polyethylene (PE) and oxo-alcohols production was confirmed to have been affected at the time of the cracker problems.

The Stenungsund cracker has a nameplate capacity of 625,000 tonnes/year, according to ICIS plants and projects.
