SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Xiangsheng Group plans to shut one of its two 200,000 tonne/year polyester lines at Suqian in Jiangsu on 18 January for maintenance, a company source said late on Wednesday.
The line mainly produces polyester staple fibre (PSF). It will be down for 15-20 days, the source said.
The downtime for the plant was scheduled amid poor market conditions, and as power restrictions are currently in effect in Suqian, the source said.
At Xiaosan in Zhejiang province, the company has a 400,000 tonne/year polyester line, which is running at full capacity, the source said.
