SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Malaysia’s Lotte Chemical Titan has sold late on Wednesday a 2,000-tonne spot toluene parcel for mid-February loading, traders said on Thursday.
The cargo, which was offered via a tender, was settled at $1,280-1,285/tonne (€960-964/tonne) FOB (free on board) SE (southeast) Asia, they said.
“This settlement price was in line with the current market price,” a Singapore-based trader said.
Titan has no further spot cargoes to sell for February loading, the traders said.
The company’s aromatics facility in Pasir Gudang, Malaysia, will skip an annual maintenance this year, a source close to the company said. The plant has a nameplate capacity of 130,000 tonnes/year of benzene and 70,000 tonnes/year of toluene.
