SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Brunei Methanol Co (BMC) is planning to shut its 850,000 tonne/year methanol plant at Sungai Liang Industrial Park for or a month and a half from April, a company source said on Friday.
The exact dates have not been decided yet, the source said.
BMC is a joint venture between Mitsubishi Gas Chemical (MGC), ITOCHU and Petroleum Brunei.
MGC holds a 50% stake in the company, with the remaining 50% of shares being held equally by ITOCHU and Petroleum Brunei.
