SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Japanese toluene di-isocyanate (TDI) producer, Mitsui Chemical may shutdown its three Kashima and Fukuoka-based lines producing TDI in the May-June period, said a source close to the company on Friday.

The company is planning to take offline these three lines for maintenance for about a month. The shutdown dates will be confirmed in February or March, he added.

Mitsui Chemical produces a total of 120,000 tonnes/year of TDI from its two Kashima-based lines, while a third facility located in Fukuoka produces another 120,000 tonnes/year of TDI.
