SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Cosmo Oil plans to resume partial operations at its Chiba refinery this month, following an asphalt leakage that shut production at the site on 28 June 2012, the Japanese refinery said on Friday.
The refinery has a 220,000 bbl/day capacity, comprising a 100,000 bbl/day No 1 and a 120,000 bbl/day No 2 crude distillation units (CDUs).
“Thorough inspections have been made at Chiba Refinery and the company is pleased to report that preparations have begun today [Friday] to resume partial operations during January,” the company said in a statement.
