SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Japan’s Nippon Shokubai is running its 35,000 tonne/year maleic anhydride (MA) plant at Himeji at 70% of capacity and has resumed supply in the domestic market, a company source said on Friday.
Operations at the MA plant were suspended in late September last year, following an explosion that occurred at the company's acrylic acid and super absorbent polymer facilities at the site.
Nippon Shokubai has resumed supply of molten MA supply in the domestic market, and plans to restart supply of briquette MA in end-January, the source said.
