SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Japan’s Mitsui Chemicals plans to shut its 617,000 tonne/year naphtha cracker in Chiba for scheduled maintenance starting 20 June, a company source said on Monday.
The cracker is expected to be off line until 7 August, the source said.
Separately, there will be no turnaround at the company’s 450,000 tonne/year Osaka-based cracker this year as the facility had undergone maintenance in 2012, the source said.
