SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Japan’s Nissan Chemical Industries plans to shut its 50,000 tonne/year melamine unit at Toyama in July for its annual turnaround, a company source said on Wednesday.
The company plans to shut the melamine unit for about one and a half months, the source said.
Nissan Chemicals Industries is currently operating the unit at about 80% of capacity, he said.
“Operating rates were ramped up from end-December, and is likely to maintain at this level in the near term,” the source added.
