MELBOURNE (ICIS)--China’s Rizhao Jiahong Biological Technology has shut its 100,000 tonne/year ethyl acetate (etac) plant at Rizhao in Shandong province to carry out repairs to the boiler, a company source said on Thursday.
The plant was taken off line on 22 January, and is scheduled to be restarted on 30 January after the completion of repairs, the source said.
The producer plans to cap its etac output at 60% capacity following the restart, the source added.
