SINGAPORE (ICIS)--South Korea’s Yeochun NCC (YNCC) plans to continue to run its aromatics units in Yeosu at 100% of capacity in February, a company source said on Thursday.

YNCC is currently running its three aromatics facilities, with a total nameplate capacity of 380,000 tonnes/year of benzene, 200,000 tonnes of toluene and 130,000 tonnes/year of solvent xylene, at close to full tilt, the source said. (see table below)

All three units will skip turnarounds this year, he said.

Some of the other key makers of benzene, toluene and solvent xylene in South Korea are GS Caltex and SK Global Chem (SKGC).
