HOUSTON (ICIS)--Dow Chemical has resumed production at its Freeport 7 cracker in Texas, a company spokesperson said on Thursday.
The 612,000 tonne/year cracker returned to normal operations on Wednesday, the company said.
Dow reported flaring from the unit on 9 January, saying the emissions were caused by a compressor trip.
The company has a second cracker at the site, Freeport 8, with 1.04m tonnes/year of ethylene production capacity.
