SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Malaysia’s PETRONAS Chemicals Group (PCG) plans to restart its 1.7m tonne/year methanol plant at Labuan in end-January after its planned maintenance since 12-13 January, a company source said on Friday.
The company operates a separate 660,000 tonne/year No 1 methanol plant, and it is running well, the source said. However, the actual run rate was not disclosed.
Other regional methanol producers include Indonesia’s Kaltim and Brunei Methanol Co.
