LONDON (ICIS)--Italy-based phenol and acetone producer Versalis’ planned outage in Mantova in the second week of April will start a little later than originally planned, a company source said on Friday.
In relation to the outage, the company source said: “We want warm conditions so we don't have problems. We will enter into maintenance in the second week of April. It will be shorter than planned.”
The plant will be down for a little over three weeks, the Versalis source confirmed.
The plant has the nameplate capacity to produce 300,000 tonnes/year of phenol and 185,000 tonnes of acetone/year.
INEOS Phenol also has a planned outage in Antwerp, Belgium, which will take place between mid-May to mid-June. In addition, Germany’s Domo Caproleuna will have an outage in August and France’s Novapex with will have its traditional annual shutdown sometime during the summer.
