NOON SNAPSHOT – Europe Markets Summary

LONDON (ICIS)--Here is Monday’s midday European oil and chemical market summary from ICIS.

CRUDE: March WTI: $95.89/bbl, up 1 cents/bbl. March BRENT: $113.02/bbl, down 26 cents/bbl
Futures continued to trade close to the high levels recorded so far in 2013 on the back of  positive economic data from Europe and tensions in the Middle East and North Africa.

NAPHTHA: $945-947/tonne, down $1/tonne
The cargo range edged down from Friday afternoon due to slightly lower crude oil prices. February swaps were assessed at $940-942/tonne.

BENZENE: $1,380-1,405/tonne, down $10-25/tonne
The market opened lower this morning amid lower US prices, although Asian numbers were steady to firm. March was valued at $1,375-1,400/tonne.

STYRENE: $1,710-1,740/tonne, up $40/tonne
February opened at $1,700-1,720/tonne and quickly moved up further on availability concerns. March was flat with February, although offers were initially as high as $1,750/tonne this morning.
