SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Iran’s Zagros Petrochemical restarted its 1.65m tonne/year methanol plant, Zagros II, at Asaluyeh, on 26-27 January, said a source close to the company on Tuesday.
The plant was shut because of a redirection of natural gas for heating, the source added.
There were no new updates on the Zagros I methanol plant. Zagros I was last heard operating at 40-45% capacity on 25 January.
Indian distributors said the producer has started to offer material for February shipment.
Other major methanol producers in the region include Saudi Arabia’s SABIC and Oman Methanol.
