SINGAPORE (ICIS)--South Korea’s Samsung Fine Chemical plans to shut its 60,000 tonne/year epichlorohydrin (ECH) plant in Ulsan during March for scheduled maintenance, a company source said on Tuesday.
The turnaround will last around 20 days, the source added.
The producer will build up its inventory levels prior to the turnaround, the source said, so its supply to the market will not be affected during the maintenance period.
The ECH plant is currently operating at full capacity, the source added.
