SINGAPORE (ICIS)--BASF has started its new brake fluid production in Shanghai, China, to meet the growing demand for the motor vehicles, the German chemicals major said in a statement on Tuesday.
“This expansion of its global production network serves the fast growing demand for brake fluids in the local market and further strengthens BASF’s manufacturing footprint in Asia, especially China,” the statement added.
The capacity and cost of the project was not stated.
Brake fluid is a high-tech product vital for automotive safety.
