SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Jiangsu Xinmin Textile Science & Technology plans to shut down its 200,000 tonnes/year polyester line at Wujiang in Jiangsu on 1 February for regular maintenance, a company source said on Thursday.

The line - whose major product is fully drawn yarn - will be shut for 30 days, the source said.

Xinmin Textile has a separate 200,000 tonne/year polyester line at the same site in Jiangsu that is running at full capacity, according to the source.

The shutdown is expected to be have no impact on the domestic spot market because of the units small capacity, one trader said.
