HOUSTON (ICIS)--BASF TOTAL Petrochemicals has begun the restart process of its Port Arthur cracker in Texas, the company said on Thursday.
The 934,000 tonne/year cracker was taken down on 18 January for planned maintenance.
The unit is expected to be fully operational by the end of the week, a company spokesperson said.
The cracker is a joint venture between BASF and Total.
