SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Thai Oil is operating its Sri Racha-based aromatics unit at 90% of capacity because of a lack of toluene feedstock, a company source said on Friday.
“Once we secure sufficient toluene, we will ramp up [the operating rate],” the source said.
The plant is able to produce 259,000 tonnes/year of benzene and 527,000 tonnes/year of paraxylene (PX).
Thai Oil will skip its annual maintenance shutdown this year.
