SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Swiss pharmaceutical ingredients maker Lonza and US-based Novoset have brought into the market a new generation of thermoset polyimides, the two firms said on Friday.
Their new polyimide products will address the “shortcomings of conventional high temperature polyimides currently available in the market”, the companies said in a statement.
Lonza is marketing these products globally in collaboration with Novoset under the Primaset trade name, they said.
The new polyimide can be used in solvent-based prepregs and also in other liquid processes such as resin transfer moulding, resin infusion, filament winding and hot/melt resin processes, the firms added.
