SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Wison Engineering Services has recently entered into an onshore facilities design contract for the Huangzeshan Island oil transit, storage and transportation project with Guangsha (Zhoushan) Energy Group, a news release from Wison said on Monday.
In this project, Wison Engineering will be responsible for the first phase of the onshore facilities’ design, including 1m cubic metres (cbm) of crude oil storage tanks, 510,000cbm of refined oil storage tanks and the relevant ancillary facilities of the storage area.
The project, located in the northern sea area of Zhoushan port in Ningbo, is China’s first oil storage facility to be located on a floating island and the first crude oil transit, storage and transportation project to be funded and built by private enterprises.
Upon its completion, it is expected to meet the projected transport volume demand of 35.6m tonnes in 2020.
Wison Engineering is an indirect non-wholly owned subsidiary of Wison Group, and Guangsha (Zhoushan) Energy Group is a subsidiary of Guanghsa Group.
