SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Swiss pharmaceutical ingredients maker Lonza announced on Monday a new executive committee and a restructuring of its business units to focus on its target markets and to improve the effectiveness of its worldwide organisational structure and operations.
Effectively immediately, the company’s new executive committee, formerly called the management committee, will consist of five members including CEO Richard Ridinger and CFO Toralf Haag, it said in a statement.
Also in the new executive committee are chief learning officer Marc Funk and chief operating officers Stephan Kutzer and Beat In-Albon.
In connection with the firm’s new management structure Jeanne Thoma, Uwe Bohlke and Lukas Utiger will step down from their former management committee functions, the company said.
The current custom manufacturing and bioscience sectors will be regrouped into the pharmaceutical market segments group while the company’s microbial control and life science ingredients units will be restructured into a specialty ingredients market segments group, it added.
The company did not provide a timeline as to when it will complete its regrouping exercise.
