SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China's Jiangsu Godsheep Chemical Fiber has shut its 200,000 tonne/year polyester line at Wuxi in Jiangsu province on 4 February, a company source said on Monday.
The company shut the line to avoid a build-up of inventories as it is making losses from the production, the source said.
This line, which major product is fully drawn yarn (FDY), will be shut for 15 days, the source added.
The impact of the shutdown is expected to be limited on the domestic spot market because of its small capacity, one trader said.
