LONDON (ICIS)--Here is Monday’s midday European oil and chemical market summary from ICIS.

CRUDE: March WTI: $96.90/bbl, down 87 cents/bbl. March BRENT: $116.00/bbl, down 76 cents/bbl
Crude prices fell sharply as the US dollar rallied against the euro in the currency markets, following some poor Spanish jobs data.

NAPHTHA: $974-976/tonne, down $5/tonne
The cargo range slipped from Friday afternoon on the back of softer crude oil prices. March swaps were assessed at $951-953/tonne

BENZENE: $1,410-1,435/tonne, up $15-25/tonne
Steady-to-firm crude futures over the weekend and balanced European availability helped support bullish benzene numbers this morning. March was valued flat with February.

STYRENE: $1,730-1,755/tonne, up $10-20/tonne
Offers for February were at $1,755/tonne this morning, buoyed by stronger benzene numbers. There were no corresponding bids so far.
