South Korea’s YNCC raises January '13 BD contract by $183/tonne

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--South Korea’s Yeochun NCC (YNCC) has settled its January butadiene (BD) contract at $1,779/tonne (€1,316/tonne) pipeline DEL (delivered), up by $183/tonne from the previous month, a company source said on Wednesday.

The producer’s December 2012 contract price settlement was at $1,596/tonne pipeline DEL.

YNCC derives its monthly contract price settlement from the average spot BD prices for that particular month.

In the week ended 25 January, BD spot prices averaged at $1,880/tonne CFR (cost & freight) northeast (NE) Asia, according to ICIS data.
