SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Chinese firm Jilin Qianyuan Energy Development plans to start up a 500,000 cubic metre (cbm)/day gas liquefaction plant at Songyuan in Jilin province in October, a company source said on Thursday.
The project is currently under construction, the source said.
The company will consider building a second phase project at the same site depending on market demand in the future, the source said.
The project will mainly process natural gas supplied via Sinopec’s gas pipelines, and liquefied natural gas (LNG) outputs will be sold to consumers in the industrial sector, added the source.
Jilin Qianyuan Energy Development is largely engaged in the processing and sales of natural gas.
