LONDON (ICIS)--Air Liquide plans to invest €65m ($88m) to build a carbon monoxide (CO) facility at Rotterdam, Netherlands, that will supply two Huntsman polyurethane plants there, the French industrial gases major said on Thursday.

Air Liquide expects to commission the CO plant in the first half of 2015, it said.

US-based chemicals producer Huntsman operates two methylene diphenyl diisocyanate (MDI) plants in the Botlek area of the Port of Rotterdam, Air Liquide said.

The additional capacity will also help meet new needs of Air Liquide's customers in the port, it added.
