HOUSTON (ICIS)--Network Polymers is seeking an additional 6 cents/lb ($132/tonne, €98/tonne) for its acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene, a company source confirmed on Thursday.

This is the last of the five US ABS producers to seek an increase in 2013. Like the other proposed increases, rising feedstock costs are the cited reasons for the producers to seek price increases.

Buyers anticipated each of the producers would seek price increases.

The effective date for Network's increase is 11 March.

Currently, the ICIS assessed price for extrusion medium-impact ABS in bulk is 129-1582 cents/lb.

The other producers include INEOS ABS, SABIC Innovative Plastics, Styrolution and Styron.

INEOS ABS, SABIC and Styron each had price increase announcements in January and have now each called for another increase in March.

Styrolution issued an increase proposal for 1 February.
