NEW YORK (ICIS)--US exports of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) in December 2012 declined 2% year on year, according to trade data made available by the US International Trade Commission (ITC) on Monday.
December PET exports totalled 22,684 tonnes, down 372 tonnes from 23,056 tonnes in December 2011.
However, month on month, exports rose 12% to 22,684 tonnes from 20,184 tonnes in November 2012.
Meanwhile, December PET imports fell 34% year on year to 27,850 tonnes from 42,174 tonnes in December 2011, according to the ITC.
Month on month, PET imports dropped 26% to 27,850 tonnes from 37,625 tonnes in November 2012.
