Japan's Mitsui Chemicals plans July overhaul for MEG plant

MELBOURNE (ICIS)--Japan's Mitsui Chemicals plans to shut its monoethylene glycol (MEG) plant for two weeks of maintenance in July, a company source said on Thursday.

The producer plans to take its 50,000 tonne/year plant in Osaka off line between 4 July and 20 July, the source said.

MEG output loss has been estimated by the company at around 2,000 tonnes, the source added.
